Inspired by 80's childhood nostalgia, Joi N’Juno goes back to his roots blending Afrobeat with tropical percussion and modern disco house.

Akalelo is a showcase of his raw skill and talent as a vocalist and musician. Having released on esteemed labels Tropical Disco Records, Black Riot and Discoweeey real name David Baluteau is the former singer French electro punk act La Phaze and has been touring with artists like Manu Chao and Calypso Rose for the best part of 15 years.

Stacked with talent from all over the globe, Akalelo EP is totally original, no samples! Featuring Kenyan vocal superstar Idd Aziz, remixes from Mexico's disco whizz Hotmood and UK based Cervo.

Hotmood gives Akalelo a tropical twist, dropping the tempo with a bass laden, dubbed out mix whilst Leeds based DJ, producer and Banana Hill label boss Cervo finishes the EP in style. Turning up the heat on Kaa Moto, real name Chris Knight pumps up the energy through added percussion, synthesiser and driving hi hats - both remixes sure to enrich daytime dance floors all over the globe.
